How to Welcoming the New year is always a choice and dilemma. This year we welcomed the New year in bohemian style in Colo NSW. The real Australia is naturally in drought and quite hot. After a 2 hour drive we arrived and set up tent and made ourselves comfortable. By the time we arrived in the afternoon it was quite cool & a lovely breeze was in the air. The party for New Year was on private property and very easy to access via a car.
Colo is quite beautiful, at night the stars seem so close and so large. It's tempting lie underneath the stars the entire time.No photo can every capture how beautiful it is here at night. The music tonight was mainly local dj's who were fine and all played a good set of music. The highlights was welcoming the New year with friends who make any occasion special. There was something very real and refreshing about being away from the city, crowds & fireworks.
Along the way to Colo roadkill is quite common and it is quite normal to see kangaroo's hopping across the road. For those unfamiliar with country/ outback Australia kangaroo's cause alot of damage to cars , try and avoid hitting them at all costs. It is quite dusty here, it seems that you ;breathe the dust, eat the dust & your entire body is covered with dust.
All in all a wonderful way to celebrate New Year with wonderful friends underneath a gorgeous sky.
