New Years Eve in Copacabana, a totally awesome experience.
December 30, 2007
You can forget the lighting up Sydney harbour with fireworks and dropping the ball in Times Square New York, when 2 million people wander down to Copacabana beach in Rio De Janeiro they set the benchmark for how to celebrate the end of one year and the start of the new one.
An absolutely awesome sight, so many people in one place, along with 8 monster cruse ships anchored off the beach and here was I on the 12 floor of the Luxor Regente hotel taking in this wonderful experience.
I hope the photos give you an idea of the spectacle and I hope you start planning a trip there soon.
