Warner Bro's Movieworld. Outside the entrance there is a river and lots of these birds.
During our stay in Surfers Paradise, we took the bus to 4 different theme parks.  It took about 30 mins to get to each one and was well worth the wait.  First up was Dreamworld, we spent the whole day here and went on surprisingly few rides. There was the big rollercoaster, and the log flume, and I thinks thats all we actually went on.

We spent most of our time in the section with all the animals. There were cute little tiger cubs in a play area, as well as fully grown tigers which put on shows - doing big jumps and climbing trees, that sort of thing.   There was a section with wallabies (or were they just small kangaroos? I can never tell the difference) just sitting around that you could go up to and pet them, which was pretty cool.
Warner Bro's Movieworld. Tonnes of those birds all hanging out on a tree in the river.
There were lots of Koala's so we spent a lot of time just standing there going "aaaawwwww!!!!" and lots of cool birds and other little animals too. You can actually get your photo taken holding a Koala here, but it cost extra so I wasn't allowed to.

We also went into the Big Brother house, which was pretty boring, especially since I don't like Big Brother.  They had a nice kitchen though.

The next trip was to White Water World. This is a new water park which is connected to Dreamworld; we got a 2 day pass that you could use to go to either park on any 2 days within a month or something like that.  White Water World was THE BEST part of the entire holiday! Since its all new, all the rides are better, and the park was built to save as much water as possible which is great.
Warner Bro's Movieworld - the gates finally opened!
The rides were so good that I actually have dreams about going back there.  GO THERE!!!!

On an impulse we decided we'd go to Movieworld and Wet'n'Wild too, since we had so much fun at Dreamworld and White Water World.  Movieworld was heaps of fun, there were quite a few really cool rides, along with a few not so cool rides. The one that you really notice coming in is the Superman Returns ride (see pics!). This looked like a pretty good roller coaster, but when we got on we realised it was much more.  You get in and the building explodes and then you hear Superman saying "don't worry I'll get you out of here" or something like that, and then Superman grabs the back of the rollercoaster and pushes you out of the building onto the rollercoaster.
Warner Bro's Movieworld. The Superman Returns ride - voted the best roller coaster in the southern hemisphere! Although it doesn't exactly have a lot of competition down here.
The thing is, when he pushes you out, he's Superman so he's really fast and strong and you go from zero to 100 kph in TWO seconds. I thought I was going to throw up.  Then out on the rollercoaster theres heaps of vertical climbs, weightless drops, lots of cool twists, so that part was really cool. Other than that, there was the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster which was cool because when it starts it feels like some lame kids ride like a ghost train, but then all of a sudden you're going backwards really fast doing all these turns and you have no idea where you're going cos its really dark. It was awesome! We went on it about 5 times.  The road runner coaster was cool too, except at the end it stopped really abruptly and that part actually really hurt.  We got our picture taken with a bunch of characters like Willy Wonka, the Justice League, Bugs Bunny etc and the whole place had a great atmosphere, kinda like Disneyland but way, way smaller.
Warner Bro's Movieworld. The Batman Begins ride. One of those "giant drop" types.

Wet'n'Wild was a bit of a disappointment. After the thrills and fun of White Water World, I was expecting to have just as much fun at Wet'n'Wild, which was supposedly bigger and better. It wasn't bigger OR better! Well, it probably took up more space, but I reckon White Water World had more rides, and the rides at WWW went for longer and went faster, down steeper hills, around more corkscrews, that sort of thing. Wet'n'Wild didn't even compare. We did have a nice relaxing morning there though but left around 2pm instead of spending the whole day there like the others.
