Broadbeach on the Gold Coast

Pacific Fair was across the road - the largest shopping centre in the Gold Coast. we spent the entire day there and my feet felt like they were going to fall off. I got to spend some of the gift vouchers we got as wedding presents, so that was lots of fun, but I was glad when it was finally time to leave.
We went in search of somewhere nice to have dinner, being a vegetarian and a libra we found it hard to find somewhere I liked, but the upside was that pretty much every restaurant in Broadbeach had a copy of their menu outside, so we didn't have to do the uncomfortable walking into a restaurant then walking out without getting anything. I thought all hope was lost (I didn't feel like pasta, but thats the only vegetarian thing on any of the menus) so we were going towards a fast food place when we spotted a mexican joint - The Aztec. Mexican places always have plenty of meatless options so I was happy to go there. The restaurant was amazing - it was all decked out with mexican themed stuff and there was a huge mural on the wall which was really cool (theres a picture of it here somewhere). I took ages trying to figure out what I wanted because there were so many dishes to choose from, but once we ordered the food didn't take long and the meals were enormous. Everything on my plate tasted incredible and would definitely recommend that restaurant, if you can find it.
After dinner we made our way to the airport; the Gold Coast has a reliable bus service with buses going to the airport every half hour or so.
