Day 6 - Disaster

As we are still moving too slow to allow for one day of acclamatisation in Samdo we need to move even more faster or leave earlier in the morning, we all decide we have to leave earlier in the morning and now someone had to break the bad news to the rest of the group. As I don't have any problems of being a difficult tourist or jerk (the latter comes naturaly) I'm the one who's gonna break the bad news. To our surprise they are very happy with our decision as that will give them more time in the cool morining to walk.
Thankfully the trail isn't as hard or strenuous as yesterday and in the morning we do a lot of milage that even puts us ahead of our time schedule. We reach Jaget well before lunch time but it's a lovely town so we want to have lunch here. The chef reaction is predictable: "why not coconut". After jagat we got some stellar scenery and the trail crosses even higher passes and steeper cliffs than in all the days before. The people and the villages we pass are getting more and more Tibetan as we are getting closer to Tibet. I think at one point of this trek we need to speak Tibetan in stead of Nepali.
In Philim I foind out that disaster had struck me; what I feared most happens to me I had lost a memory card full of pictures of the first three days from Kathmandu untill Arughat. Against all odds I go down the steep path that leads to Philim in the hope that I will find the memory card. No such luck this time.
