This trip was with my friend Gudny, her kids, Kristoffer and Rochelle, and some other friends. As we arrived at the cabbins, we didn't even settle in, before Gudny and I had a little snowball fight.. and of course she manage to fall on the only treestub in the whole area. HAHAHA... A little later that day, I just had to try the snowboard she had brought with her. Didn't have proper snowboard shoes, and since I had never tried it before, it were bound to go wrong. As you can see from the pics, I fell pretty fast and let myself be dragged for a bit. And when I got back up, Gudnys son, who was 5 at the time, came skiing on crosscountry skis, bumped into me, and down I went again. This time I injured my ancle, and it remained swollen the entire vacation, and was also hurting till after summer.
Anyway; the next day I couldn't sit still, so I put on my alpine boots and skis and went up the skitrek. Of course I shouldn't have, and could barely get the boot off. Only got it off with some help. Damn, it hurted bad...
I din't learn my lesson, obviously, so the very next day Gudny and I went crosscountry skiing. It did go a bit better though, since the boots and skis were borrowed from the guys that were with us. Way to big, but good for my swollen foot and ancle. :o) We had actually a nice time in the woods. And as usual we had to shot some funny pics...
The very last day, Gudny and I went up to the hotel and in the pool. To get up there, I put on my alpine skis and she stood behind ON the the skis.
Sälen is located just 30 min from Trysil in Norway. Which is a great skidestination. I couldn't find a link to Sälen in English, but for Trysil you can try this one; http://www.trysil360.com/en-gb/Movies/Sitemap/
