The track was busy preparing for its upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup race later this month. Four different companies are bidding fiercely to build a casino by the racetrack. For example, if the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino wins the contract, Kansas Speedway promises to add a second NASCAR Sprint Cup race, build a road course and host an annual RV rally.
We concluded the day’s fun with a visit to Holy-Field Vineyard & Winery, a 14-acre vineyard planted with Native American and French hybrid varieties.
