Snow Shoeing
I was so happy to be in snow since in Boise we don’t get snow like the Mountains. The snow here in McCall is ridiculous, there’s so much of it…everywhere. I thought Diesel would enjoy the snow, but I didn’t think he’d go crazy, he bounds back and forth leaping through the snow, he LOVES it. I have boots for him because I don’t want his little (actually they’re huge) feet to get cold and also, they get all cut up and bloody from the snow if he’s not wearing the boots. He wears them fine, he actually forgets they’re there after like 3 minutes.
Walking in snow shoes is always a bit awkward but we got used to it. My sister, her two dogs, Diesel and I all trekked down to our cabin on Payette lake. The snow plow pushes all the snow right in front of our road so we have to climb through all the show to get to the cabin. It was so peaceful and quite out there…other than us crunching through the thigh high snow.
All in all, it was a really good time, the dogs loved it and his boots worked perfectly. I love McCall!
