This trip comes at a break point in life: - My business is 10 years old & moving into a new season - My debut album is finished & getting stocked in shops during jan08 - My wife & I are looking to set up a new biz within activity-based travel - We're both looking to get more stuck into church projects We have an opportunity to take a break and get a refresh before it all kicks off again so we're visiting Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, Fiji, and Japan - this is the blog!

deciding where to go on arrival
Ok, so we're half way through Galapagos. Yesterday was my favourite day so far - clearest water, the most perfect beaches and LOADS of animals. Swum up close with sea turtles, manta rays and 3 playful sea lions all swum round and round me for ages.

It's a change over day today with new people coming and we're hanging out on the mainland for a bit - we went to see huge 100 year + old land turtles today and catching up on email etc

the next 4 days should see more great beaches, volcanoes and hopefully some penguins!

p.s. have been compiling my favourite quotes from multi-national boat :-)

Cesar - our guide: 'all around you there are many boobies' - of course, referring to the blue-footed boobie, nesting on the island in question
Cesar (again): 'she was lovely when she was young- say 28, but then she got old and very fat and she was not so nice' - talking a bout a local women he knew
A fellow european traveller speaking english - 'it is the noising in my head that is making me forget my wordings' - awesome - this is exactly how i sound when I speak spanglish! :-)
An american tour guide - ' the bachelor sea lions have a quickie with the females when the 'beach master' is not looking' - only an american would call the male sea lion ('the bull') the 'beach master'! :-)

more to come I'm sure
