After having stayed up all day and night yesterday we all slept in a bit. The beds were so comfortable...or maybe they just seemed that way because we were so tired, either way we had awesome sleeps. Breakfast is only served until 10am, so we missed that for the first of many times. After waking up we got prepared for our first day on the beach. But before going there we had an orientation type thing with our signature representative, Julie, in the main lobby area. She told us all about the resort and probably the most useful bit of information I have ever received...pina coladas are made with real coconut oil which is a natural laxative so don't drink them all day. I love pina coladas so I probably would have drank them all day everyday...luckily I did not.
When we were done at the orientation we headed to the beach. It was so amazing there, it was the first time we saw it in daylight and it was gorgeous. We had a bit of a tough time finding 4 empty beach chairs close to eachother, but eventually we got them and started the relaxing. As I was putting my suntan lotion on a guy with a monkey and a camera walked by so Linds and Tyler got their pictures with it. I wish I had but I was in mid suntan lotion, oh well. I got a picture of Tyler with the monkey on his shoulder. They didn't charge for the pictures, you could go the photo center later and buy them if you liked them for $8. We sat on the beach and swam and tanned and did not much else for a few hours.
At 1ish we were hungry so decided to go for lunch at the buffet.
After lunch we went back to the beach and tanned and swam some more. My brother decided to dig a hole while he was lying on his chair. I didn't see it till after it was done but it was pretty deep so I told him to stick his foot in it. He did, because hes a fool, and we started burying his foot really fast and patting it down. When he went to get out he couldn't and it was hilarious. We watched him try to get out for quite a while, unfortunately he eventually got it.
When we were done with the beach we went back to our rooms and changed. Linds and I sat on our deck and read for a while(she read Trainspotting and I read the Princess Bride). After we got changed and ready we all went for dinner at the Mexican restuarant. The food was really good and our waiter was amazing! He was probably the best waiter we'd ever had, not just in the resort. After dinner we went back to the lounge area for some drinking games. Theres nothing more fun than playing drinking games with your family...We played some kings cup and I wish that I had not. My dad and Tyler went to bed at 11ish and we went over to the disco. It was pretty dead when we got there and it stayed that way for quite a while. But its so awesome going to a club and not having to pay cover and not having to pay for drinks! We stayed till about 1. We met a guy from Italy, a guy from the states and a girl from Ontario and talked to them for a bit before heading back to our room.
