Fresh Gourmet Bistro in Fremont District
Sitting in the street window eating my $14 burger I couldn't stop thinking how nice the space at the 35th Street Bistro. If I were ever to open my own restaurant, this is the sort of look to which I would aspire - simple, well-lit, romantic, and unpretentious. It's all about the tree in the middle, and a seat by the window for brunch is about as good as it gets in Seattle.
Back to the burger. What kind of amateur serves a burger that's too big to fit in your mouth? Furthermore, what kind of amateur serves a burger that falls apart while I'm trying to eat it? This isn't a novelty diner, this is a bistro. The flavors (blue cheese and bacon!) were pretty good, but the experience was a bust. People keep raving about the fries, but their only notable feature was the dusting of herbs.

Great Place for Dessert
I have four words for you people. Truffle Chocolate Cake. Yum! I have three more. Don't expect fancy.
Yes, parking isn't easy to come by. No, the cake isn't served on pretty china. Yes, you better have cash because that's all they accept. No, I don't eat mine there because there's a comfier chair and better atmosphere at home. Yes, the cakes here are consistently good.
Hands down their cakes are some of the best I've ever had however this place ain't perfect (luke warm service, tacky paper plates, boring brown paper lunch sacks and plastic wrap for take out), and also it ain't cheap. But overall the cakes speak for themselves. Bravo for all your yummy cakes!

Pacific Northwest charm near Seattle Airport
This hotel has a convenient location and a shuttle service that runs to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
I had a large room with a balcony, comfortable beds, an easy chair, and a coffee maker. There are several restaurants and fast food places within a very short walk. The staff was friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the warm, chocolate chip cookie we were given at check-in.
The room was beautiful and clean, and the beds were super comfortable! The bathroom had nice amenities as well. My only criticism is that there was a $16 nightly fee for parking, which I feel should have been part of the cost of the room. My experience here will prompt us to look to Doubletree for our next trip!
