I won a charity auction giving me a four-night stay at Porto Elounda Hotel.

The deluxe room was modern and comfortable with a large bathroom. The best feature was walking out of your sitting room into a large private terrace and swimming pool shared by six guests.

The hotel, with its immaculate, extensive grounds, offers gorgeous, breathtaking views of mountains, sea and sandy beaches.

The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. They made a couple of recommendations that proved to be right-on-the-money.

One evening, we had a wonderful time attending the traditional Greek show at the hotel’s Playiada Restaurant.

Since I stayed there in October 2005, there have been many changes. Its Six Senses Spa has received several awards, including Best Spa from the December 2007 London Times for its “sensational design and therapists.”

I have read that there have been some recent problems due to expansion. All I can say is that I couldn’t have had a more enjoyable or relaxing experience. I would gladly stay at Porto Elounda Deluxe Resort again.
