I have a lot of home towns, and several towns I would love to adopt. I also don't have a great attention span for just sitting indoors on the weekends. This Blog is about all the places I've been to since I got back from the Netherlands, the weekends with friends, and the nights out along the way.

Maylandsea

There is no logical reason why you would ever visit the village my parents live in - it is small, and has a decent chinese takeaway, a nice Indian restaurant, and nowhere I would willingly go to drink.  But this is what the marshes on the edge of town look like.  See - I wasn't just being rude about it on the erh'm entry.  I just really did spend my adolescence in a marsh.  But it's quite a pretty one, and if you like mud, sea birds, or tiny yachts, this might be the place for you.

At least the village as take away and resturant, the village we live doesn't. Although it does have 2 pubs both of which do nice food, so I guess you could call them a resturant!!! :)

Oh, yes, on a clear day you used to be able to hear it humming to itself. You can hear the guns from the military base on the Thames as well.

I was going to smile, but that hardly seems appropriate when I've been shuddering at the thought of all that mud :((( I guess it's close to scenic Bradwell Power Station too!
