Bath; a meeting, and a bad day
Today, I had a meeting in Bath, which was great because there was enough time afterwards to go for a bit of a stroll. I finally went into Bath Abbey; it is very, very pretty and has some amazing ceilings, and at the moment, an exhibition of sculptures of heads. It was a very strange day, weather wise, and from time to time it just poured rain, exactly like if someone had tipped a bucket out of the sky. Then it got sunny. Ho-hum.
I also popped into the covered market, where I bought myself an espresso cup to celebrate finally getting unpacked at home after the latest house move. Which was a little ironic, as it turned out. The coffee and tea lady was absolutely lovely, though, and if you are in Bath you should go and spend money in her shop. It's a fairly amazing shop, as it turns out, too.
Then I got home, and my landlord who I was lodging with (so no contract) explained that I reminded him too much of his ex (who's a good friend of mine) and could I please move out as soon as possible? I explained I was going to be in Manchester all week, and it would take a while to sort out a three month contract anywhere, and he got a bit upset it would take so long. Because obviously, I could just move out just like that. Sigh...
