Placa d'Espanya- it has escalators to get to the top!

As  our Spanish leader was detained under the mental health act ( its a long story) I ws given the task of taking 47 spanish kids onthe plane back to Spain. After no sleep the night the night before I boarded the plane to Bracleona at Gatwick Airport in the early hours of the morning. I nearly lost a few of the kids, but after lots of shouting on my part I managed to get them all on.

After arrivin gin Barcelona, I was able to dump the kids and find my hotel room for the night. It was a Best Western Hotel just outside the city centre which was actually quite nice. The next day there was a free bus into the city centre so I ended up looking round the Placa d' Espanya area and found some beautiful art galleries and museums. I then made my way to the La Rambla area, which I love. I could spend all day just looking at the street artists and sitting and having coffee in the cafes which line the streets.

So for all the trauma of taking the kids home, I got an all expenses paid trip to Barcelona which was well worth it. Everytime I go back to Barcelona there is always something more to discover!
