Grand Seigneur hotel in Sirkeci, Istanbul. An artistic creativity. Excellent place to stay at very reasonable price

On our return from Kusadasi we stayed for another 2 days in istanbul. I feel so lucky that i stayed at Hotel Grand Seigneur. It was such an amazing and comfortable hotel and at an unbelievable price, i.e. $45. Seriously by looking at the interior, the rooms and washrooms, i rated it @$90 atleast. It is located in Sirkeci area.

Dolambache Palace (i hope i spelled it correctly) is also worth seeing. If Topkapi palace is historical then this one is modern and meticulous. It was being used as a government house few years back but now opened for public, still foreign dignitaries are attended & welcomed here.

In the last it would be unfair if i don't mention taqsim area. Taqsim means divided. Taqsim is modern, hip & happening. You will find, designer shops, cinemas, good hotels, bars & pubs. I think one should also spend 1 or 2 days to get a taste of this area as well. Taqsim is located on top of a hill with almost 5 roads connecting it at the centre. A modern mechanical subway tram takes you up to the centre of Taqsim in less than 5 minutes, besides road network but walking down the hill through small interesting streets is a must.
