The breakfast in that island is WOW. they have a solar powered kitchen (oh so there is electricity but only for the kitchen) which MIRACULOUSLY produces all these local seafood and fruit and vegetable extravaganza! the long wooden table is literally overflowing with delicacies! until now it haunts me. i've never had such an amazing dining experience while in an island.
Anyway, after an HOUR of sitting around trying to digest all that we've swallowed, we decided to go around again... some took a swim and some just lounged around. For some reason, in that island, time is really slow... which is PERFECT! You can sleep... and wake up feeling like you've slept for years and yet you still have a whole day of exploring ahead of you. We went to these caves where some bats lived. I have no idea why we did that... i guess the boys were just feeling really adventurous. Back then i was still your CLICHE commercial tourist, i usually travel, take pictures, lounge around, and take souvenirs, pretty much not the rough n' tough EXPLORE EXPLORE EXPLORE type.
Can you imagine not thinking about anything except... sun, sand, sea, swings, coconuts, fruits, soft breeze, sleep...
it really was perfect. you can ask any friend of mine who was there.
