So after spending two days and two nights in the island, it was time to head back. I wanted to STAY and work there as the island host / maitre'd but i obviously wasn't qualified. Tita Anne, Gabby's aunt is really the most perfect person to be in the island.  She was a really nice person and a funny one too!  My friend said she actually worked for years in Chicago as a nurse until she decided to go home and stay in the island...

can you imagine LITERALLY living in an island of your own? managing just a few staff to make sure your island stays perfect? welcoming guests and making them feel good?

After we took our last souvenir shots of the island, we headed back to Iloilo city.  We stayed at Gabby's house for one more night... the next day after we took our friends to the airport we were supposed to head home when the four of us (who were supposed to go the next day) decided to extend for the weekend!!! YAAAAHOOOOO!!!

So we ended up going around Iloilo and seeing all these historical churches built by the Spanish Conquistadores and of course, trying out more local cuisine!  I tell you, whenever you are visiting the Philippines.... wherever you may go... you MUST TRY the local cuisine!
