Warsaw hassles

Sometime in the middle of the night, our train got stopped somewhere in Germany for about 90 min. This caused me to miss my connecting train to Krakow. I had to go through tremendous hassle to get a second reservation for a train to Krakow - my ticket was valid, but seeing it was Christmas Eve, I had to have an assigned seat. Anyway, I won't bore you here with the details, eventually I got it - and I also bought my bus ticket to Lithuania for New Year's Eve (see: http://www.travbuddy.com/travel-blogs/22524). As it turned out, I had about two hours to walk around Warszawa Centralna - which took me by the Hard Rock Cafe there. Though had I known I'd have time to eat there in Warsaw, I probably wouldn't have eaten at the one in Amsterdam. :D

Eventually this train showed up about an hour late too, getting me back to Krakow well after the dinner I had been planning on attending. But I met with some of my classmates and we spent the night together.

All in all I had a great, if short, trip to Belgium!
