Ever heard for Jan Mayen? I've heard for the island a few weeks ago, and i was truly interested... These pictures are the only ones i found, and i think there is no more of them on internet (for now)

Jan Mayen - One of Arctic mysteries

Jan Mayen is a volcanic island of norwegian dominion, located in the north atlantic ocean, 950km west of Norway, 600 km north of Iceland. Current crew is a total of 18, running the Loran-C navigation station, the meteorological station and maintaining the infrastructure - buildings, roads, airstrip, power station and so on. Both the LORAN transmitter and the meteorological station are located a few kilometers away from the settlement Olonkinbyen (English: The Olonkin City), where all personnel live. The view of the island is dominated by the active volcano, Beerenberg (2277m), which had its last eruption in 1985.

Amazing pics you posted there! I know ppl who've been to Svalbard and said it was amazing there, I guess JM must be very 'exotic' as well. Sounds very interesting anyway:)
