A lightning, and rain storm rumbles thru town.

Late afternoon brought us lots a wind today and although the weather was very spring time warm, we had been told that rain was coming.  The wind was gusty and was blowing at speeds seldom seen here in our area.  No damage, but very different than is normal.  Then as the evening progressed it did begin to rain.  The rain continued as the sun dropped and it got dark. And finally about 10 p.m. we could here the thunder in the distance.  It slowly moved in an easterly direction across the valley and at 10:45pm I went out and got a few shot.  Do you realize how hard it is to get a good shot of lightning?  Out of more than a dozen, these were the only ones with some of the lightning. :D
