I can't believe the wind!

My family's in Barcelona and work often takes me to Tarragona and Castellón de la Plana. I try to squeeze in a little fun and some sightseeing too.

I can't believe the wind!

I'm home with the family for the weekend. It's nice to be in Barcelona, it's cool but certainly a lot warmer than Warsaw and the light is fantastic! It's a lot brighter here, farther south.  But... The wind is incredible.  Gusts up to 200 km/ hr in the Costa Brava and over 100 kms around here.  I've never experienced such strong winds here - last night it was howling, managing to find cracks and crevices, covering things inside the house with a fine layer of dust.  We awoke around 3 a.m. to the sound of slamming doors and glass breaking.  A neighbor definitely has a mess to clean up.  Finally I went back to sleep but it was still strong in the morning.  We went for a run along the beach and there are broken palms, uprooted trees... motorcycles laying on their sides all over the place.  We didn't run half as far as we wanted to and returned home sooner than I would have liked to, their was just too much sand and dust flying everywhere.
