All the beers on tap
I've left the flying kiwi! can't believe how much i wished i could stay on for another two weeks. i'm going to miss the people, the activities, and the opportunities to do things i wouldn't have thought of by myself. but oh well, i'm going on the same ferry tonight, so i'll see most of them again. In wellington now, trying to sort out all sorts of thinghs, from money transfers to a birthdaycard for my nephew. hope i'll get to see some of the city as well...

When I finally finished everything I had to do, I decided to take the cable tram thingy up to look at the view. only cost me two dollars return, since the ticket-dude thought I was a student, even though i told him I didn't have proof...

Had a look at the view, snapped some pics, had coffee and went for a very short stroll.

then i spent a fair bit of time in the tram museums gift shop, looking for a cheap souvenir that didn't way too much to stick into the envelope with the birthday-card for my nephew. Ended up with a necklace. Have absolutely no idea whether he'll like it or not, but at least i sent something, it's not like i can afford to give him money ;p

Then i went down again and started the search for the brewery bar :D it was fairly easy to find, and it was a nice walk:D I even saw some of those huge flat fishes swimming in, right in the middle of the city. that was pretty cool :D

The Brewery bar was cooler than I'd ever expected. Definetely worth to havea look at. The biggest problem was choosing a pint. But i did get to taste a few beers before i made my choice.
and from the other side...
not that i can remember what that was now...

As there was no free tables outside I sat down with an english dude. when i dragged up the tongariro pics i had developed that day (one-minute developing is definetely not the best quality, but it'll have to do...) he started talking about tongariro, and we had a very nice chat about everything and nothing for the next two hours :D

When i went for my next pint i discovered that they had a six beer tastibng tray for 15 dollars :D a quick calculation made me decide that that was definitely a better idea for me than trying to drink a pint of everything... So I got a six beer tray, although there really was 7 beers on it, since they had a summer beer out too at the moment:D
Very happy me :D of course the thing was really hard to balance all the way out to my table, since the tray had some really weird handles, but i managed:D

The beer was amazing. i even liked the wheat beer, which i usually don't.

Needless to say, i was extremely happy when i walked back to the hostel where I'd dumped my backpack for the day.
