Memoirs of my adventures through Northern California wine country now that I live close enough to visit every day if I wanted!! :-)
Great Deal on Hwy 29!
Trying to get a room in Napa Valley, especially around the holidays can be tricky. I lucked out at the last minute and got a room here through Priceline for about $100 when everything else in Napa was over $200 a night, especially three weeks before Christmas!

The hotel is conveniently located right off the freeway on Highway 29 closer to downtown Napa. If you are interested in the wineries up in St. Helena and Calistoga, this is much further south but still a very doable drive.

Since it was December, we did not get to partake in the beautiful pool and outdoor grounds. Check with the hotel as they sometimes have wine pairing events in the evening with local wineries which was quite a treat!

When I stayed, Marriott had recently redesigned many of their properties and standard now are down duvet covers and matching pillows. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Although our room faced the parking lot and freeway, we never heard any road noise (although I probably fell right to sleep after wine tasting all day...ha ha).

The only downside we experienced was the lack of parking since they were pretty full and with the rain, we had to run pretty far to get to the main door lobby.
