Castello di Amorosa - Castle Construction

Although these pictures are from before I moved to Northern California, I thought they belonged with this blog anyway.  I snuck up several times while the castle was being built over the past few years as I wanted to see the construction and couldn't wait for it to open.  I've always been such a fan of Sattui wines and was thrilled at the idea of getting to see the castle and taste the wines Darryl Sattui has been working on for years!  Some of the events at Sattui are being held at the castle now, including the Harvest Ball which is an annual black tie event!  Although they cannot do weddings and receptions at the castle due to local restrictions, they can have private events.  The night we were there was a private masquerade ball, probably someone's holiday party!
