Castello di Amorosa
December 15, 2007
We ended up spending the entire day at Sattui between the tour, tasting, and then our beautiful lunch! We had 4:30 reservations for the tour at the castle and had to hurry to make it on time. The castle was breathtaking and as beautiful as I remember (I used to sneak up and 'trespass' when it was being built). It is definitely not cheap to do the tour and the tastings but well worth the visit at least once! You do have to make reservations and it takes about 2 hours to complete but a beautiful tour. They said Darryl spent everything he had (minus his retirement) to build that castle and make it as authentic as the castles he visited in Europe.
We had such a perfect Saturday! I cannot wait until the next time we drive up there!|
