Visiting my 94-yr old grandmother
Before we were to leave Tequisquiapan we stopped to say good-bye to my grandmother and other members of my family.  We ended up spending more time than we thought we would…so it was kinda late when we finally took the bus to Mexico City.

The rest of our remaining time was going to be spent with my Aunt at her place located in Mexico City.

We got into Mexico City in the early evening and decided to go to the Zocolo using Mexico City’s public train system.  Our cousin, his wife and daughter accompanied us to make sure we didn’t get lost.

The Zocolo was in a buzz with many vendors, some protesters and the many portraits in light representing the Mexican heroes of the War of Independence.  It was very lively - I just wish we had been able to set our getaway to correspond with the actual Independence Day celebrations on September 15th/16th…but maybe some other time…

The rest of the time we just spent at a café nearby before we called it a night to rest up for tomorrow’s very tiring day…
