This was a short, quick trip to Mexico in September 2006. It started with me joking to my sis that I was going to Mexico just so that I can see a concert in the city of Queretaro. It grew into a 6-day trip with my sis and her fiancé. We went to several places our parents took us when we were young.

First full day in Tequis

If I remember correctly we flew into Mexico City on the 6th of September. There we met up with my Aunt Clara who lives in Mexico City and she took us to the northern bus terminal of the city where we got bus tickets to travel to Tequisquiapan located in the State of Queretaro. It was a long trip all together - about 6-8 hours of sitting - so we took it easy that first night to be ready for the next day.
The family home is not located in the town proper but about a 30 min walk along cobble streets. So walking to the town was the first thing we did after breakfast. It was a quiet morning but it was a good way to get a clear picture of the town. For the rest of morning and early afternoon we walked around the whole area to see the various changes that have taken place in recent years.
Later that night we went to go see the concert in Querataro...the concert that started this whole trip idea...
