Venturing into Nicaragua #1

Nicaragua Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

This trip was 6 days in wonderful Nicaragua. How much fun! We went to look at investment properties and enjoyed basking in the sun and talking with locals!

Arriving

We’re here! We has two stops, one in Salt Lake City and the other in Huston Texas. Oh the lunch in Texas was so good, mmm. It wasn’t much of a day, just lots of travel on the plane. I’m happy to be here finally. We arrived in Managua, it’s a whole different world here. The airport was full of people waiting to great their families and friends, it was packed. The airport is really nice too.

Our hotel is just across the street from the airport, the Best Western. It’s actually pretty clean and nice. They have large black crickets hoping around everywhere, we have to watch out for them. The room has an air conditioner which is essential down here. It’s so hot and humid, what a change coming from 30 degree weather in Boise.

This is going to be a interesting trip.
We stayed at the Best Western on two separate nights here in Managua. I was actually surprised with how nice the rooms were. Very clean and comfortable. The beds were nice and the air conditioner was a life saver! They also gave us two free bottles of water, not bad. We paid $85 each night for three of us in a two bedroom . They serve breakfast starting at 7 (we never got a chance to try it out due to having to leave early). There are a lot of big black crickets outside, so watch out. They are very friendly and a plus is this hotel is directly across the street from the airport, which is perfect if you have a light night arrival in to Managua.
