Dubious world around me

Thoughts on my way to work in Brisbane. I hope it's not too depressing :-)
Oh, dubious world around me,
why is all this shit happening to thee?
Nobody seems to notice. Everyone ignores it. We are looking away. How come we don’t appreciate how lucky we are? We get depressed and sad about unimportant tiny problems. Why are those who have the most always the least happy and those who have close to nothing the most happy? Our problems are jokes for others.
We run around the world with our eyes closed. We are oblivous of profoundness.
We are running through the streets as if gravitated by a huge magnet. The magnet called money. Like remote-controlled ants we operate our shells through the streets finally disappearing into huge steel monsters. Slaving our asses. For everything. For nothing. We are permanently trying to be somewhere without reaching the final destination.
People working in the same dull job for 20 goddamn years, doing work that every idiot could do. Day in, day out, everyday the same. But still they have time to complain diligently. But are they acting against it? Are they doing something about it? Of course not. Money is the essence. Then they retire, live their boring life for a couple of more years and then it’s off to the coffin.
Oh, agitated society, please decelerate!
