My cousin from New York was visiting. I wanted to show him what the Bay Area had to offer and why I'm proud to call this place home. I will add more pics of the Bay Area on this Blog. Hope you guys enjoy it.
In San Francisco, every year around January, they have this great deal called "Dine about Town". What it is is a whole bunch of restaurants participating and having a set price on lunch and dinner. Its a great deal cause you get to try out the different restaurants. As you enter you're welcomed by the smiling hostess. The host pulls back the black curtain and then there's the restaurant. Decor is modern, stylish, asian inspired. The venue was pretty big. There were tables in the middle with white table cloths and white chairs. There were white booths to the left and right. I think they reserved this spot for people on a date. This restaurant served a lot of asian fusion food. For starters I ordered the Chinese long beans dipped in corn tempura with cider soy dipping sauce. Delicious!!! For dinner, I had the braised short ribs with red curry and the forbidden rice with lemongrass risotto which was tasty. For dessert, I had the chocolate truffle torte. Yummy!!! The food was not too much or not too little, it was just right. I was full by the time I finished about a fourth of my dinner so I got it boxed to take home. The host and waitresses were attentive. Music was great. I was bobbing my head to it. The food and people were wonderful. I was wondering why it wasn't a full house. I think it could be due to a weeknight. This restaurant on the weekends turns into a club. I recommend coming early and have dinner on the weekend and you get in the club for free. No cover. That's a great deal!!! Parking is not so bad cause there's a lot close by. The parking attendant wasn't there so it was pretty much free which is great!!!
