Something I always wanted to do is visit Floida's State Capital. You get a complete view of the city from the 22nd floor of the Capital building. Was able to view the House of Represenatives and the Senate. Got to see the Governor's office and the state seal.We visited Pensacola, Florida and Mobile, Alabama.

Another great morning and we are under a fog advisory. We are taking I-10 west to Mobile, Alabama to visit Battleship Memorial Park. It's about an hour drive and it's open from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The USS battleship Alabama was commissioned August 16, 1942. It is 680 feet in length and a width of 108 feet 2 inches. She is registered as 35,000 tons, but under battle conditions, she weighed in at well over 45,000 tons or 90 million pounds. Her assigned crew was 127 officers and 2,205 enlisted. She earned 9 battle stars and shot down 22 enemy airplanes during World War II.
