Arthur's pass

Arthur's pass was truly amazing. We drove through beautiful scenery, snowy mountains either side of us and a windy road ahead.

We parked up at the visitor centre and had a walk up to a roaring waterfall with crystal clear water. It was very cold though so we layered up with gloves, hats and scarves and had our car sweets to keep us going!

We drove onto Greymouth, a very non discript town with not a lot in it. It was dead at 5pm when we arrived and stayed dead all night eventhough there was a super 14 match on.

We stayed in a really cool hostel called Noah's Ark backpackers. It was so homely and friendly and we had the sheep room, with walls covered with pictures of sheep. Very appropriate to New Zealand!
