The day started very sunny. Today it was the second day of the tour and we would go to the valley where we could see the condors flying on the hot thermic winds. After driving for a while the roads become more bumpier but the chauffeur didn't slow down a bit. After a while we had a very beautiful panorama view and the chauffeur pulled over. The guid told us that from the point where we were standing to the bottom where we could see running the river was 400 meters of hight difference. Wow it was really a breathtaking view. Then we drove further to the birdwatching point. The marketpeople were stalling out there sellingwear, you could buy some drinks and nice coloured scarfs.

We waited and waited but no condors were spotted or noticed anywhere. It wasn't hot enough and I couldn't blame the birds to stay warm in their nests. We people would do the same, wouldn't we? We stayed a longer and longer but it was clear it wasn't a lucky day for us to admire the birds. Because we were in a small van with five people the guide dicided to go further downwards into the valley. The other busloads of tourist couldn't get there because their vehicles were too big. But we drove further. It didn't look that promissing but suddenly the guide told us to look upwards. And there one condor was flying, it was hardly to see with your bare eyes. Although it was very beautiful to see the condor flying :-) I've got it also on a picture but of course very tiny :-)
