China Earthquake

Earthquake damage in China
I'm backkkkkkkkkk.................whew talking about interesting when your in a country that gets hit by a major earthquake, it puts a whole new perspective on the word disaster!! If you've never been through a quake lets just say it gets your attention real fast, totally amazing what mothernature is capable of doing and all you can do is just watch while everything around is falling, crumbling, the ground under you is actually moving but the worst thing you can do is panic, which i know is hard to do it's human nature to panic and run from things we don't understand or just freak out about. I'm actually in Korea right now just taking it easy but figured I better give you all an update and tell about what it's like witnessing a quake first hand, which is what I'll be doing over the next few days and hopefully getting some pics put up but somewhere i lost my usb cord to load pics onto my laptop so I'll have to go buy another one soon as i find a place that has the right plug end i need to attach to my camera, i do have some really great pics of the damage or least ones that i was actually allowed to take, so stay tuned over the next few days for upcoming pics and my narrative on........experiencing a quake first hand!!!

John, I am so glad you're alright... and it looks like your camera made it too... Your pictures are very good... I was trying to remember how big the quake was : 8.4? Thanks for sharing... I see that it is Shanghai.... somehow I thought the quake hit more to the west so I was confused... sylvia

Thanks for sharing these pics John! I had to smile at all of them, not becasue they were something to smile about, but to give them publicity on TB. Very sad situation indeed! :-( ~Jeff

John, glad to hear you made it out OK. Your story about quakes is MUCH WORSE than ours in Osaka! Again, glad to hear you are OK! :-) ~Jeff (and Jenny)
