Kwintsheuls main source of income is generated by the greenhouses. Together with the surrounding villages, Kwintsheul belongs to the largests of greenhouse concentrations in The Netherlands. A lot of vegetables and flowers are grown here. The vegetables mostly stay in the area for consumption, the flowers are mostly exported. The greenhouses are responsible for most of the lightpolution in the area surrounding The Hague. To maximize crop yield, lights are switched on every night. This has a negative affect on the wildlife.
In Kwintsheul one can find only a few attractions; the Andreaschurch and a couple of old farmhouses. There is hardly any nightlife in Kwintsheul. That is no problem for the inhabitants as The Hague is only a few minutes away.
