Tallinn
August 5, 2006
Changed plans and arrived in Tallinn early. Going to spend more time
here with maybe a daytrip to Helsinki to meet some Finnish friends I
met earlier in Warsaw!
If you are visiting Tallinn in the summer, make sure to book your rooms early. Had to walk around for 2 hours before finding an accomodation, and am still pretty far from the old town.

This is a really cool hostel located near the walls of old town in Tallinn. There are only 10 beds, so it is also quite small, and you get to know your fellow guests quite well. The only drawback (if you are a light sleeper) is that the common area shares a space with some of the bunks, but for the most part people seem respectful and will move the conversation elsewhere if someone is trying to sleep.
As for amenities, there is a fully stocked kitchen, a huge tub/jacuzzi in the bathroom!!!, and couches and a TV in the common area. The staff is also really friendly, among the best I've seen, and will undoubtedly make you feel right at home. I could have spent a week there, but unfortunately it was towards the end of my trip!
