Yesterday it rained, today it shined.. =(
I woke up yesterday morning and heard a sound.. it was coming from outside. I jumped out of my bed, and peeked out the window and what did I see ..grey skies, wet road, puddles of water, and raindrops falling all around. Yay.. i said to myself "Is it here.. is it finally here? the rain in the bay and the snow in tahoe?" Wow.. the feeling was great. I got ready for work, made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for breakfast, grabbed waters from the fridge, packed my bag/big purse, zipped up my snowboard jacket (yes, yes already.. lately, it has been a bit cold [very cold, actually in the early morning but come night time I am only in need of trusty cardigan sweater], I have been wearing my boarding jackets but not until today have I been able to use the hood to cover my head).
So it was all very exciting. I made my way outdoors to my car. I took a few pictures along the short route to my car. All bundled up, I walked slowly enjoying the weather, and hoping it would be here to stay. I was mostly hoping that it would last till next week which would be a great weekend to hit the slopes (since I am busy this weekend) if the weather would be cooperative. I finally reached my raindrop covered car, jumped in, attached my iPod, played my song of choice "Fallin' Out" by Keyshia Cole (just got the CD the night before), backed out of my parking spot and then started my journey to work.
So I went to work in Fremont, and worked of course. I did not go out for lunch, instead ate my soup in our break room with friends.
Then back to work I went. The whole day, I admired the outside from our 3rd floor window which only showed me darkness, the sun did not shine or peek out at all. I was swamped at work and the breaks did not allow me to go outdoors, so I could not verify whether rain was on the agenda for Fremont today. That clock striked 5pm and I was pretty much out of there, driving away from work I was discouraged when I saw that it was dark, but there was no rain around. The weather went from rain, cold, to no rain, chilly/breezy. That's okay, I'll wait for another day when that rain will stay.
