Monkeying Around.. The vines are cool.

So, we recently traveled from the North Island to the South Island, but while leaving the north island we made a 4 hour drive to the Assembly of God church in the next closest town from where we were and got there in time for Sunday morning service (well, we got up at 5 am to make it on time!)! It was GREAT!! We went to Faith Community Assembly in some town on the bottom of the North Island (will look it up later) tht was a few hours away from Wellington- where the interisland ferry leaves from. The service was great! It was our first time being in church since we left on our trip and it felt good to be 'home'. The church had a guest speaker- a Brit that lives in Australia now. Funny, Motivating, Passionate! The pastor picked us out in the crowd of 100+ and knew we were visitors.

So, my arms aren't as strong as Husben's.. so I use my legs!
So, we got taken out to a great chinese buffet with one of the families and the guest speaker. It was a great day! We were so happy to make it to church. The church was on fire with praise during worship and the people were inviting and joyful! What more could you want in a day!

Since we are renting a car while we are here we have a lot of freedom just to come and go as we please. This is definetly a country in which having a car helps. South America was fine by bus and on foot, but there is soooo much to do and see here and its all spread out. We took the car across to the South Island on the ferry and we spent the yesterday touring around the top of the South Island. The weather is great, but the roads are WINDY! OK, so everyone that knows me knows that means trouble.

I'll take two bags please!
I am switching between meds (when ben is driving) and driving (myself) in order to ease the nausea. That has pretty much been working. Just a little sleepy with meds.

We went sea kayaking all day today (took a ginger tablet.. the ocean was a little rough)! That was fun. Since I was getting sea sick.. We spent extra time on the beachs and didn't go north as far as we could have. Seemed to have worked out for us though, because both our arms are shot anyways! If we would have gone farther we would really be crying the blues! Able Tasman Park is beautiful. Definetly plan to spend close to a week if you come (we don't have that much time). There are 4 and 5 day hikes you can do and multiple day sea kayaking destinations where there is not any car access... You can sea kayak to the seal colonies and play with the penguins if you give yourself enough time!

We are going to leave tomorrow though. Not sure where we are headed. Just jump in the car and go. Eventually we have to make it down to Christchurch to see old friends and to catch a plane.. So, that is our plan for now.
