I was pick pocketed in Madrid, in what the travel guide described as the Literary District, about two blocks away from our hotel at a local restaurant.
I should have seen it coming, but that is what everyone says when it happens, but I didn’t
In the hustle and bustle of the restaurants overly crowded entrance two young men entered the restaurant and left with my digital camera.
I am actually quite glad I didn’t notice at the time because a scene could have ensued and the young men were close enough to stab or harm me if they liked.
I did lose my photos, from one of my cameras, since I was thankfully carrying two … but I didn’t lose what was really important.
