Starting out in Shannon and making our way toward Dublin in a car, this is our travel experience through Ireland...

Connor Pass

You must drive through Conner Pass on the Dingle Peninsula.  Dingle is one of the most favored spots in Ireland.  The National Geographic Traveler has described it as "the most beautiful place on earth". The scenery is what the Dingle experience is all about: the view of the harbors, mountains, cliffs and the view from the Connor Pass. Connor Pass is a little road that windes through the moutains....just beautiful.  This road is undoubtedly the most dramatic route to take, though it is not suitable for heavy or big vehicles.  As it swings towards the south it rises at the side of a large valley formed by glaciers that came from a semi-circle of corries in the surrounding mountains. From the top of the pass there are breathtaking views in fine weather of lowlands, mountains and sea.

After we got to Dingle and checked into our B&B.  After a much needed nap, we went back up to Conner's pass since we were soooo tired the first time we drove through.  After that, we headed into town and ate at a pub.  We met some people from Chicago!  How funny!  We headed back to the B&B for the night to plan our next day.  That was the most comfortable bed ever!

This was our first meal in Ireland and it was pretty average. If you are looking for a good meal that is not too expensive, this was a good choice! The pub is half bar and half restaurant with very small cozy tables.
This was a great little B&B. Very comfy beds and nice rooms with big windows. The breakfast was also superb!
