A vacation that started bad, turned worse in Woodland Hills and then took another turn for the better again as I got my butt down to the OC. Was staying with some good friends of mine in Costa Mesa for 1 and a half week. Didn't get to see much, 'cause I got sick. :o( But I managed to shoot a few pics anyway...

Johnnys Saloon.. Huntington Beach

My friend Chris.. and Johnny who owns the bar... it's def the coolest bar I've ever been too...

This is the best bar I've ever been to. Could be because I know the guy who owns it, and one of my best friends is working there. But it really is a great place. It's almost pitch black inside, but the people, music and the atmosphere make up for the lack of lights. Almost every Thursday they set the bar on fire to Johnny Cash' "Ring of Fire". It's way cool. Too bad I didn't manage to turn the flash off my cam, so the pics didn't turn out like I wanted them to. But you can still see how cool it looks.

Again I came here with my friend Chris, who works here every Thursday. It was pretty much like the first time I was there, but this time I also met someone who remains friends. He is actually a former co-worker with Chris at LAPD, and a real nice guy.

Johnny at Johnny's Bar.. If you're ever in HB, stop by Johnny's.. I'm sure you'll have a great time there..
We had so much fun sitting at bar, talking, drinking, laughing and me shooting pics. Yeah ok.. you can see I had one to many, but blame Chris will ya... hahaha. He just keeps them coming, and I have a feeling so did Johnny.. Hmm.. well, I can't say for sure though. But I do know that there was a girl who got me a drink, and also my new friend Robert, and as far as I remember JD got me one. Sooo... yeah, you could say I was a bit tipsy at the end. Understatement? Huh? Don't know what you're talking about... hahaha.

I always have a blast at Johnny's. I only wish I had the opportunity to go there and meet my friends more often. Almost all the people I met in OC were so great. So open and friendly, that you feel so welcome while there.  I know that I can go back there anytime, and my friends will be there to welcome me. What a wonderful feeling that is. :o)

If you like bars, and are in the area, stop by Johnnys. They are open every night, but it's only on Thursdays they set the bar on fire. Go check it out. It's located at 17428 Beach Blvd. Huntington Beach.. :o)
