what was I thinking!
I am sharing these pictures simply because not long ago I had a travbuddy ask me what a scubagirl was doing up on the mountains. Well, I said to him that's what happens when one marries a mountain man! The truth is my husband and I couldn't be more opposite of each other. He's from up North and I'm from Texas. He likes the mountains, cottages, lakes, snow, and cold weather. I like beaches, beach huts, the ocean, sand, and warm weather.
If we had not met I probably would have tried skiing once in my lifetime and then said, "ok been there, done that, now thats enough!" And he may or may not have tried scubadiving who knows? but, we did meet and married! So, the only thing to do was to incorporate each others lifestyles into our own! Afterall, it wouldn't be fair to ask each other to give up what we have always done and loved!
Now I mentioned earlier that had it not been for him skiing for me would have been a one time deal, and the pictures below would be exactly why that would've been the case! They are pictures of me trying out skiing for the first time ever in 2002. However, I'm happy to report that I've done it again and did much better the next time around :D
So, the burning question what's a scubagirl doing on top of the mountain? Not much really, just FALLING! over and over and over........
