End of day twelve
Tonight we had a light dinner at one of the local Hotel restaurants. We had seen a sign about a buffet at the Hotel just up the street from our lodgings and decided to check it out. As soon as I walked in the door I knew we were going to eat there, because just to my right was the ice cream display case and inside was something I had never seen before but sounded terrific, Cinnamon Vanilla ice cream. We checked out the buffet but it didn’t look very good so we just ordered a light dinner off the menu. I just had to have a scoop of that flavor. The softball-sized scoop was more than I bargained for but somehow I managed to thoroughly enjoy the whole thing. And on the way back to our room we got our last shot of the day, a young deer feeding just outside our hotel.
The regular menu seemed better to us. But now that we think back neither my wife or I can remember just exactly what we ate. We do remember that I suggested something a little lighter than usual so save room for a small dessert.
I had seen the ice creams in a nice display as we came in and knew I had to save room for at least one scoop of Cinnamon Vanilla Ice Cream.
When they brought our single scoops of ice cream they must have been nearly a pint each. But, oh my gosh, it was good. I had never experienced Cinnamon Vanilla before.
If I had been only rating the ice cream this place would have gotten a 5 star easy. But because we couldn't remember what we ate for dinner we only rate it a 4 star.

Our room was very clean and well furnished and included all modern amenities from color TV with satellite or cable, iron/ironing board, coffee/tea maker, and hair dryer.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and ready to assist at any time.
The only drawback was that the Wifi only works in the lobby. Located approximately 1/2 mile from the main downtown area with mainly small shops and galleries. About a fifteen minute drive to either Mt. Rushmore or Crazy Horse Memorial.
I highly recommend.
