Old Tucson... in the middle of the desert, and the sun set high in the sky. It was so hot, that I gasped for air getting out of the car with aircondition. It felt like something was wrong when I actually had to get dressed inside the car because I was cold, and had to "strip" as I got out into the heat. LOL... But being a person who really loves heat, it didn't take me long to adjust. I loved it out there in the middle of no where so to speak. :o)
We spent almost a day here. Finding it fun to be at a place were so many movies and tv series had been recorded. I guess that the Church/school from Little House on the Prarie was what was most surprising. It was so small, and yet it seem so large while on TV. They even had some math pieces on the blackboard.
It was also cool to see OK Corral, High Chapparal and all the other scenes that had been made famous thru the movies.
The graveyard was a chapter in itself... so fun to read the testemonies such as; "Here we laid poor Hazel Thistle, She didn't hear that Ol' train whistle" and "Lost his money, lost his wife. Lost his footin', lost his life". Poor man.. lol
And of course they had a Old western cowboy show.. quite fun to watch...
My mom and I had a real good time here, and I do believe my cousin Peg and husband Bob also enjoyed our day here.
