Ao Nang & Phi Phi

We are in Krabi at the mo and its very hot! We are staying in a hotel just up the road from the beach (which is where we headed as soon as we arrived!). We have also been over to the beautiful island of Koh Phi Phi and spent two nights there. There are loads of lovely secluded beaches and the sea is crystal clear!
On our first night in Ao Nang (which is the main tourist resort in Krabi) We went out for tea and a few drinks. Well a few drinks was the plan anyway until we found a barshowing the Everton match! It was a lovely little Irish pub and the rather hyper thai barman taught us a song about elephants! Yay! It goes; "Chang chang chang chang chang nong kuew hen chang roeah low" We don't quite know what it means except that its about Changs (elephants).
On Sunday we set off to Phi Phi a bit worse for wear after getting in at 3am!
Monday we hired a longtail boat for the day which took us to lots of beaches which you can only get to by boat, including 'The Beach' from the film - Leonardo was nowhere to be seen though! And it was pretty crowded with tourists and boats. We also did a bit of snorkelling and saw a sea snake! Scary! It was a really nice day but we did end up getting slightly soaked on the trip back to the town as the weather got a bit windy and the sea a bit choppy!
The next day me and Ads did a couple of dives (us being qualified divers don't you know!) around Phi Phi. This is what we saw; a leapard SHARK, Turtles, Octopus and Lion fish!!! Its was amazing! Although I was feeling a bit ill from some dodgey food the night before and ended up being a bit 'ill' in between dives.
We are in Ao Nang now for 3 nights until our flight back to Bangkok on Friday where Val will leave us to go back home. Tomorrow we are going to see the island that was featured in the james bond film, The man with the golden gun!!! Hooray!
Bye for now! X
