here's a fishy (that Tessa saw with H20 proof cam)
Thursday , September 21, 2006 ((Day 6))
Next on our itinerary was hit Hanauma Bay for a little snorkeling fun. By the time we got there and dipped into the water the water looked a little murky and I wondered why. Everyone said it was from all the sunscreen washed off of everyone going into the water looking for fishes. So yeah I guess that was that. I was able to float around, maybe a little farther than I had hoped to, and I did not see a fish swim by me once. So I was a little bummed about that. But that’s okay, there is always next time. After that we geared up and made our way to Kualoa Ranch for some ATV riding.
another pic by Tessa's waterproof cam =)
At Kualoa Ranch, we met up with Ryan and his beautiful ladies Juliet and baby girl Talia. Ryan would join the group for ATV-ing. We watched a quick video on safety, they gave us our helmets, and we trekked over to pick our ATV. =) So cool.. gotta love that gas pedal. Of course we had to go the speed the guide chose for us so that we could appreciate the surroundings, which was great because it was definitely a beauty. We weren’t allowed to take pictures till we made stops and they would take pictures of us and we could take pictures of the view. Riding through the Kualoa Mountains we saw signs, movie and television signs that showed where certain spots were included in those movies and tv shows. I remember “50 First Dates” and“Lost” I know there were lots more, but I forgot all of them already, since we weren’t able to take pictures.
Then the last 5 to 10 minutes of our ride they took us through this bumped dirt/muddy zig zaggy part of the mountain and they asked us if we wanted to go faster, and what did we say “HECK YAH!!” so we went faster and faster. I was 2nd after our super speed racer Alma so I couldn’t help but keep up. It was so fun. I loved it, and can’t wait to ride an ATV again. I was sad to leave, but yeah we had to.
We went home to get ready for dinner. We had dinner with Theresa a fellow bay area mainlander here for the wedding at a Restaurant in Waikiki. I forgot the name, maybe it’ll come back to me in time =). After our meal we made our way to meet Christine and Jarrett at Lulu’s Waikiki Surf Club, but didn’t end up going in since they were closing early. So we ended up at Fashion 45, hip hop played so I guess I was content, since the crowd wasn’t much to my liking. So all in all, surrounded by friends and the fam I had a great time that night.
