Tuesday, September 19, 2006 ((Day 4))
Breakfast cooks: me and Mel (the best breakfast ever of course lol " homemade breakfast burritos and fruit and juice and not to forget our Kona coffee)
This day we split into 2 groups because cousins Jenn and Mel had never been Parasailing before so we made our way on our own down to Honolulu again to do that. While the rest of the funky bunch stayed local in Kailua to kayak. Talk about fresh air way up there, and being free as a bird, almost like a bird, we were flying up there but being dragged along by the speed boat. Either which way, it was breath taking. The other two enjoyed as well, and would sure do it again if the opportunity rises again, same as I did.
We then met up with Hawaii local. Little Melanie.. aka Kihei, while the funky bunch made their way to Pearl Harbor. We were all supposed to meet up there.. but the plans didn’t seem to intertwine together. So yeah.. oh well, I’ll see Pearl Harbor next time. Next on the itinerary by Melanie was a museum exhibit, that wasn’t quite what she thought it would be. But she was able to get us a discount on entrance fee so we all went, along with two of her friends. She took us to the King Kamehameha statue and Royalty Palace, we took pictures and we went to the mall I believe, in search of a palm reader. Yeah just a little thing that sounded fun to do at the time, but since the person was not there we took it as a sign. Maybe next time, maybe not. Then we kinda tried to make our way to the bunch again. But before that we took a quick stop at Ala Moana Beach, which I’m glad we did, because what a vision it was.
We witnessed a beautiful sunset.
that's Diamond Head in the background.. didn't get the hike that this time
Finally we met the group at Duke’s for dinner and drinks and more drinks =) After Duke’s we all went to Ocean’s to have a little, scratch that, a lot of fun on our 4th day in Hawaii. I think the name of our drink of choice was Hawaiian Island, (kinda like a long island but with pineapple juice instead of coke, so I’m not sure if I have the name right) very tasty, and they were only like $4 which was good news for us. It was a fun night.
