After another overnight bus trip without much sleep, I arrived back in NYC early Monday morning - it was actually really nice because everything felt familiar & I knew my way around. But I spent another morning collapsed at the hostel, before heading out & shopping around before buying my lovely notebook computer! It's going to make staying in touch & uploading photos etc sooo much easier.
Tuesday I had a camp-people day, which was awesome, hanging out with Genna & her friend Jenny. We also met up with Kat in the morning, then headed to a cheesy horse & carriage ride around Central Park! And then we went to Beth's apartment in the arvo - her street had a Halloween party going on, with lots of places decorated & some serious trick-or-treating, so we watched from up on the fire escape, before heading down into the masses!
Genna & Jenny had "Spamalot" tix, & since I loved it so much, I went to see it again with them, & it was still hilarious! Then we headed downtown & caught the end of a big Halloween parade.
Wednesday I took a little cruise around the southern end of Manhattan & it was interesting to see the city from the water. I also visited the ice-skating rinks that are up & running now, at Central Park, Bryant Park & the Rockefeller Centre - I love watching ice-skating, I always dream of being able to effortlessly glide around the rink... *sigh*
Today I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge & wandered around for a while... and suddenly my USA adventure is over. London here I come... (must be time for a new journal...).
