the grand dame of cote d'azur.....has glorious architecture a superb palm-lined Promenade des Anglais and access to truly beautiful villages. The water is a deep blue and the hills are a light beige, the sun , the sea , the laid-back affable nicois, the italianate facades of modern Nice. enjoyed wandering the outdoor markets along Cours Saleya (Nice's famous market area), everyday the market are full of flowers, fresh vegetables and fruits produce directly from the farm, souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants with a choice of food to die for :), and there's antique market also every monday. the narrow winding streets and tiny squares in the atmospheric old town Vieux Nice, full of shops, bars, and restaurants!
